Add the mashed rice and dal mixture to the pan and mix well.
Add jaggery to the pan and mix well. Cook the mixture on medium flame, stirring occasionally, until the jaggery is fully dissolved and the mixture thickens.
Add the cardamom powder and the fried cashews and raisins to the pan and mix well.
Cook the mixture for a few more minutes until it starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Your Sakkarai Pongal is now ready to serve! You can enjoy it warm or cold.
